Contributing to the Nordic Creative Commons Film Festival

Today starts the Nordic Creative Commons Film Festival, and from now until September 8 there will be hundreds of screenings of openly licensed films across the Nordic countries as well as in the rest of Europe. Also in Denmark!

The film festival works so that anybody can organize a screening by choosing one or more films from a curated list of 40 films within a broad spectrum of genres, chosen by the film festival. The screenings can take place any imaginable place and organizers only need to find a projector, some chairs and a room. In other words: Lots of screenings both in and outside theatres - the audience becomes the organizers.

Denmark is also well represented with 5 screenings in Copenhagen and Aalborg - and if you are living in Copenhagen you can also skip across the sound and catch one of the 10 screenings in Malmoe and Lund in Sweden.

I've made an overview on the Creative Commons Denmark website and will be co-hosting one of the events on September 4 in "5e" in the meat packing district in Copenhagen - come join!. The screening is organized with Filmstationen, ROI and 5e.
