Tonight we had the pleasure of attending a special lecture by world famous sociologist Anthony Giddens, who had been invited to Berlin by Heinrich Böll Stiftung, a non-profit for whom a friend of ours, Sue, works.
Earlier this year Giddens published a new book, 'Politics of Climate Change', and this was also the area of focus in tonights appearance. In the audience was furthermore a wide range of notable people, including members of the German bundestag (parliament) from the German Green Party - who engaged in the subsequent Q&A session. Very interesting and entertaining indeed. Mr. Giddens is certainly a highly knowledgeable and charismatic man.
