This coming week kicks off the 2014 Hour of Code, a global movement organizing a worldwide event from December 8-14 reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries - including Denmark. Anyone, anywhere can organize an Hour of Code event and make use of the one-hour tutorials that are available in over 30 languages. All ages and no experience needed.
I personally think Hour of Code is an amazing initiative and a great way for citizens to get acquainted with computer programming in an easy fashion - and with Kodespejder ("code scout"), a new Danish community for people eager to teach others to code, we strongly support this event. I've written an introductory blog post as well as one that highlights some of the Danish events and other writings in Danish media on the topic.
