This week Creative Commons, the non-profit for which I do volunteer work, released their annual State of the Commons report, which outlines the developments of CC-license usage around the world as well as the general state of sharing culture in general.
Overall things are progressing tremendously and this year we passed an important threshold: More than 1 billion creative works are now openly licensed under CC - a remarkable feat, which is almost 10 times the number of works that was openly available in 2006 when the first survey was made.
