What a great night it was last night. One of those you get to experience in larger cities such as Berlin. My friend Christian Skjødt, who is here fore a week, had invited me to hear him play a gig of impro-jazz with 3 fellow musicians at the under-the-underground venue Miss Hecker ('under the underground' means that it the gig is not announced, so you need an invite to know what's going on - also because the venue is placed in a small apartment, which is kept fairly secret. You need to know the address and then ring the buzzer for the apartment where "Miss Hecker" lives to get in). That is Berlin for you.
Met a lot of friendly people among the small crowd of jazz musicians and their friends. I really love nights like that.
